 Detection:                        The test uses anti-human IgM (test line IgM), anti-human IgG (test line IgG) and goat anti-rabit IgG (control line C) antibodies immobilized on a nitrocellulose strip. The conjugate pad contains COVID-19 antigen-colloidal gold and rabbit IgG-colloidal gold conjugates. When a specimen is added to the sample well, IgM and/or IgG antibodies if present, will bind to conjugates making antigen-antibody complex. This complex migrates through nitrocellulose membrane by capillary action. When the complex meet the line of the corresponding immobilized antibody (anti-human IgM and/or anti human IgG), the complex trapped forming a burgundy colored band which confirm a reactive (positive) test result. Absence of a colored band in the test region indicates a non-reactive (negative) test result. The test also contains an internal control (C line) which exhibits a burgundy colored band; otherwise, test result is invalid and specimen must be re-tested with another test cassette.
